In
common/src/main/java/org/apache/gravitino/dto/requests/SchemaUpdatesRequest.java
undates should be non-null.
Here's a test to help:

SchemaUpdatesRequest schemaUpdatesRequest = new
SchemaUpdatesRequest(null);
