Hey guys, great to see there’s been an informative discussion here. I’m now in a position where I need to start building a production-ready REST Catalog server for Paimon right away. Therefore, I don't have to get involved much with "why", which is strongly emphasized by @jerryshao , but just need to focus on "how". That said, I can briefly touch on my "why". As Paimon getting popular recent years steadily, we've adopted it for several internal projects. Surprisingly, the ecosystem still lacks an open-source REST Catalog server, with only few commercial offerings out there—which are not viable options for us. Back to my question: I’d like to check in on @lsyulong ’s progress. Any updates or materials that can be shared at this stage would be greatly appreciated. As for my own plans, I’ll be happy to share my work once it’s complete, especially if there hasn’t been further community progress in the meantime. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
