URL: https://github.com/apache/gravitino/issues/13978

   ### Version

   main branch

   ### Describe what's wrong

`MODIFY COLUMN` replaces the whole column definition, but
`updateColumnTypeFieldDefinition` in the MySQL, OceanBase and StarRocks table
operations rebuilds the column with `DEFAULT_VALUE_NOT_SET`. The existing
default value is silently dropped when a column type is changed. Doris keeps it.

   ### Error message and/or stacktrace

None. The request succeeds, but the default value is gone.

   ### How to reproduce

   1. Create a table with column `status VARCHAR(16) DEFAULT 'new'`.
   2. Update the column type to `VARCHAR(32)`.
   3. Load the table: the default value of `status` is no longer `'new'`.

   ### Additional context

Doris preserves the default value on the same change and is the expected
behavior.
