### What would you like to be improved? #13049 made **Fork CI** and **ASF Allowlist Check** required status checks on `main`. A PR that changes CI definitions can only get a green **Fork CI** from a trusted run on the shared upstream `ubuntu-latest` runners, which currently queue for hours (the trusted run for #14152 took over 9 hours), so committers cannot merge urgent CI fixes, including fixes for the queueing itself. Before #13049, `main` had no required status checks. ### How should we improve? Remove the two contexts from `required_status_checks` in `.asf.yaml`, keeping strict up-to-date protection and the review requirement. Both checks keep reporting on every PR, and CONTRIBUTING asks committers to merge only after they pass, or to explain on the PR what they verified when they must merge earlier. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
