### Version main branch, checked at 90da2776a. ### Describe what's wrong Identifier validation counts characters instead of PostgreSQL UTF-8 bytes. Names longer than 63 bytes can be accepted and silently truncated at the source. An unnamed add-index alter instead creates a constraint literally named null, so a subsequent unnamed index can collide in the same schema. ### Error message and/or stacktrace See the behavior described above; source-valid objects or invalid configuration are not reported consistently. ### How to reproduce Try a name made of 22 Chinese characters (66 UTF-8 bytes). Also add unnamed unique indexes to two distinct tables in the same schema. Overlong identifiers should be rejected before DDL and PostgreSQL should generate names for unnamed constraints. ### Additional context A focused patch with regression tests is prepared. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
