Michael Jumper commented on GUACAMOLE-446: ------------------------------------------ {quote} I noticed that if I change the FILESYSTEM name from GUACAMOLE TO CLOUD it becomes C on Guacamole RDP. I have read in one of the post that G on or C on is added by Windows itself and we cannot change it. {quote} Yes, this is correct. {quote} Does Windows strip the first letter of the FILESYSTEM name ? or is it beacuse of unicoding in windows because of which it doesn't take complete filesystem name? {quote} I can only speculate, but it really has no effect on the issue at hand. Within the RDP protocol, there exists only a mechanism for providing an arbitrary name for the redirected drive. There is no mechanism for defining the drive letter assigned to that drive. Regardless of what Windows does internally and why, there is simply no means that any RDP client can control the drive letter. > Allow RDP drive name to be configured > ------------------------------------- > > Key: GUACAMOLE-446 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/GUACAMOLE-446 > Project: Guacamole > Issue Type: Improvement > Components: guacamole, RDP > Reporter: Amarjeet Singh > Priority: Trivial > > It would be better if Drive name would be configurable and pass to the guacd > as one of the parameters. > if it would make more sense instead of hard coding it in guacamole-server . -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v6.4.14#64029)
