Michael Jumper commented on GUACAMOLE-669:

Guacamole will automatically redirect users to their sole connection if they
only have access to one. This behavior was improved with GUACAMOLE-508 for the
upcoming 1.0.0 release, only redirecting users to their sole connection if they
lack administrative permissions.

You can in the meantime access settings as an administrator despite only having
one connection by opening the Guacamole menu (Ctrl+Alt+Shift). Once you have
more than one connection you will cease being redirected.

> After creating a new quacamole instance I am able to manage users on ubuntu
> 18.05 and setup with docker compose and an external MySQL. However after
> rebooting or doing docker-compose down and creating a session, all users log
> into the same session (ssh) and no administration page/home page/manager is
> displayed.
> mysql  Ver 14.14 Distrib 5.7.24, for Linux (x86_64) using  EditLine wrapper
> docker 18.09.0
