Sune Beermann commented on GUACAMOLE-160:
-----------------------------------------
I would agree with you under other circumstances, but for our use case this is
to be used on a closed off the grid network. We will allow users to create and
connect to any servers on the network with SSH and RDP but not allow them to
transfer files to or from the network. We do that now by creating the
connections for each user manually when they request it. But to ease our
department we want to allow the users/developers to do this themselves. Maybe
we just create a webportal they can create connections in, and have that inject
that into the database.
Is it correct that if I where to build the server without the ssh libs then
sftp would also be disabled on the server? if so how would that be reflected on
the client, would they still see the option but it won't have any effect?

> I want to disallow user to create SFTP file transfers, I have not jet been
> able to find a way to do that.
> In order for us to bypass that problem we are now forced to create all
> connecitons for the users.
