Michael Jumper commented on GUACAMOLE-273:
------------------------------------------
Unfortunately, since you are not the author of the keymap copied from
[GUAC-1541|https://glyptodon.org/jira/browse/GUAC-1541], and since that keymap
was created at a time where the project was not yet under the Apache Incubator,
was MIT licensed, and CLAs were required for contributions, we can't simply
grab the keymap from the old issue and include it in Guacamole without the
original author's permission.
Since permission to release that keymap under the MIT license was not
explicitly given at the time that was needed (the project used CLAs for this at
the time), and implicit permission for releasing that keymap was not given by
virtue of the modification being based on and contributed after the switch to
the Apache license, it can't just be copied. We need to either:
# Start from scratch or ...
# Reach out to the original author of the keymap (Thiago Cruz) and ask that he
re-contribute it against current Apache-licensed Guacamole
I'll ping Thiago Cruz by commenting on the old issue. Perhaps we can get this
moving forward.

> This problem is similar to this ussue:
> Configuring an RDP connection from the guacamole web interface, I can not
> select Brazilian keyboard layout because it does not exist.
> With unicode it works but lack several features like CTRL+C and CTRL+V
> support.
> If I use xfreerdp or remmina from a debian or ubuntu, I can connect with the
> correct Brazilian keyboard layout and from a windows too, but if I connect
> from guacamole web interface, I can not put the correct Brazilian layout,
> because it does not exist.
> I already found a working Brazilian keymap on
> https://glyptodon.org/jira/browse/GUAC-1541, I set it up on my local
> enviroment and it is working, just would like to have it included in a future
> realease, so everyone can benefit of this support.
> Attached revised keymap for validation.
