hotienvu opened a new issue #772: Reason for shading for hudi-timeline-service? URL: https://github.com/apache/incubator-hudi/issues/772 I'm trying to us hoodie-spark as a dependency in my spark project (2.3.1). There is some conflict with io.netty so I check the lib jar and found out hoodie-spark depends on hoodie-timeline-service which is an uber jar. This prevents me from overwriting netty when running the latest spark. What is the reason for packaging hoodie-timeline-service in such way?
