I have been keeping a close track on all the discussions around hive/glue catalog sync issues, and most of them have been around misconfigurations. One issue that is relevant is that schema evolution does now work against Glue catalog and I will create a JIRA for that. I also think we can add some questions related to glue in the FAQ regarding misconfigurations. I can add it there, but would like to know the process for doing that.
