I came across this and added a unit test case in
_TestOverwriteNonDefaultsWithLatestAvroPayload_ to check whether partial
updates works or not by using _OverwriteNonDefaultsWithLatestAvroPayload_. It
does work! JFYR below is sample UT which I used to verify the same.
