In 0.x, we have log appends and log files are named differently.
in 1.x, we have changed few things wrt log file naming and log appends. Even w/
tbl version 6, guess log appends are disabled.
So, revisit all intricacies wrt log files, rollbacks, uncommitted log files and
ensure b/w compatible writer works as expected.
For eg, a 0.x reader should be able to read w/o data consistency issues.
