there might be some duplicate issue for this actually :)
but overall, even providing some Spark code examples for these, would be a good
start.
Whether, we retire the hudi-cli for e.g in favor of spark-shell, we need to
think more holisitically as we may also need to support flink in the future. So
the current way of using hudi-cli and launching spark from that, seems valid
still.
I know I did not give a direct answer. lmk what you think.
more useful thing is to support querying of the .hoodie timeline +
.hooodie/archived timeline via spark sql. This is requested by many people
