[~vinoth] Yes, there will still be codepaths.
A blind replace of all these codepaths to metadata may not make sense as
metadata table needs to be initialized (reader side) before it will yield
meaningful results. We can start replacing these once the Metadata Reader
interface and your changes to correctly read the log blocks are finalized.
