Thanks for reproducing the issue. I understand you get the update results, this is also my finding if I update a record, that record turns out right, however, I am also trying to capture the inserts as I want to pass in that data to my sink. I am getting encoded results for those inserts. The before data shows NULL and after data shows encoded value for complex fields.
