@leesf : do you think we can get this in by next week for upcoming release cut? also, we have introduced new apis for all methods in [HoodieRecordPayload](https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HUDI-898) with Properties arg to assist in special needs like this. Do you think we can leverage this new api.
