I have created a JIRA to track this feature request: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HUDI-1595. It would require some level of intgeration within hudi to use the serde libraries provided by Glue schema registry, and use the appropriate deserializer to consume the record https://github.com/awslabs/aws-glue-schema-registry/blob/master/README.md. For now you have the option of using confluent schema registry. I would also encourage you to open a feature request with AWS EMR team if you are trying to get this working on EMR.
