This issue was reviewed as part of the JIRA-migrated backlog triage.
Findings: this describes an incomplete feature, not a bug. Currently
supported: the checkpoint-not-progressing concern is handled on master --
HoodieIncrSource returns the last checkpoint when there are no new commits
('Already caught up. No new data to process'). Pending: drop-columns support
and cast array/struct-to-string column support. This ticket bundles multiple
asks and should be split (as noted by a maintainer).
Keeping open. Will be scoped into a future feature-completion effort.
