This issue was reviewed as part of the JIRA-migrated backlog triage. Findings: this describes an incomplete feature, not a bug. Currently supported: Record Index exists as a metadata-table index. Pending: abstracting it into a generic Record Index (HUDI-5274, epic HUDI-4141); related in-flight work in #12983. Keeping open.
