This issue was reviewed as part of the JIRA-migrated backlog triage. Findings: this ticket contains only a title - the JIRA (HUDI-2650, created 2021-10-29) has no description, stack trace, reproduction steps, or affected version, and the single comment (Mar 2022) asking the reporter for details was never answered. The JIRA changelog shows all activity since then was bulk fixVersion retargeting (1.0.0 -> 0.14.0 -> 0.14.1 -> 1.1.0), so the real last activity is over four years old. The Hive read path has also been substantially rewritten since (input-format refactor in 0.11, file-group-reader-based Hive reader in 1.0), so any count(*) discrepancy from that era cannot be mapped to current code. Closing as stale/insufficient information.
