This issue was reviewed as part of the JIRA-migrated backlog triage. Findings: This is a development task (type:devtask), not a bug, tracked under epic HUDI-7947 / RFC-80 "Support column families for wide tables", which is still Open (fixVersion 1.1.0). Only the RFC design document has merged to master (#11559, [HUDI-7948]); the actual column-family implementation has not landed. The RFC-80 configuration-part PR #11733 was a WIP that was closed unmerged on 2026-07-01, and no column-families-for-wide-tables code exists in master (the only "columnFamily" code in the tree is unrelated RocksDB-internal usage). The parent epic and all sibling CF-for-Flink tasks (HUDI-8051, HUDI-8054, HUDI-8060) remain Open with empty JIRA descriptions. Specifically, implementing column-family writing for the Flink engine is not yet implemented on master. This is incomplete feature work under an active epic, not a fixed or reproducible bug. Keeping open: this is a tracked, unimplemented development task under RFC-80.
