This issue was reviewed as part of the JIRA-migrated backlog triage and is being closed as stale. The description is empty, so the whole ticket is the title. "Support schema evolution" covers column add/drop/rename/reorder and type promotion; this does not pick one, describe a failure, or give a query. The JIRA last moved 2023-03-10. No commit or PR carries HUDI-4059. There is also a structural reason not to keep it: the Trino connector has since been **migrated into this repository** - commit `c3c936790727` (2026-07-26, *"feat(trino): Migrate the Trino-Hudi connector into the Hudi repo (RFC-105)"*, PR #18837) added the `hudi-trino/` module. Note that module is not in `release-1.1.0` or `release-1.2.0` yet; it is master-only for now. A 2022 ticket written against the old external connector does not map onto that codebase.
