This issue was reviewed as part of the JIRA-migrated backlog triage (HUDI-9182). **Findings: still open, but not actionable as written.** The body carries only the JIRA boilerplate - there is no statement of what is wrong with time generation in the metadata table, which instant times or which generator are in question, or what the desired behaviour is. There is nothing to verify against the code and nothing a contributor could pick up. Given it is marked blocker, pinning it down is worth doing before the next release scope is set. Specifically: is the concern that MDT instant times are derived from the data table's rather than generated independently, that they can collide, or that they are generated in the wrong clock domain? Possibly related and more concrete: #17395 (HUDI-9139) asks for a typed POJO for instant time instead of raw strings, in the same general area.
