This issue was reviewed as part of the JIRA-migrated backlog triage (HUDI-7889). **Findings: still open. The deliverable here is a document, and no such document exists.** The ask is to enumerate which features written by 1.x a 0.16.0 reader cannot handle, across table versions 6 and 7 - the description names partial update, deletion vector and secondary index as examples. No compatibility matrix of that kind was found in the docs or website content on `master`. Worth coordinating with two siblings that are asking adjacent questions rather than answering them separately: - #17264 (HUDI-7901) - is a 1.0 MDT timeline readable by 0.16? - #17262 (HUDI-7861) - is the MDT schema/data read and written table-version-specifically? All three want the same artifact: one table of "feature written by 1.x" against "behaviour in the 0.16 reader" with a verdict of works, degrades, or fails.
