This issue was reviewed as part of the JIRA-migrated backlog triage (HUDI-8334). **Findings: still open as a coverage task.** The matrix in the description is large and specific - bootstrap (COW and MOR, with MOR needing a log file in the latest file slice), bulk_insert, insert, upsert, delete, compaction, clustering, rollback, clean, insert_overwrite, insert_overwrite_partition, delete_partition, async indexer, restore, plus query-side snapshot COW, snapshot MOR and read-optimized MOR. Coverage gaps cannot be disproved by searching, so the assignee should confirm rather than treat this as definitive, but nothing indicates the matrix landed as a suite. One housekeeping note: the terminology has changed since this was filed. "Functional index" is now "expression index" throughout the code (`HoodieExpressionIndex`, `ExpressionIndexSupport`, `ExpressionIndexer`), so the title and description are stale and will not match a search of the current tree.
