This issue was reviewed as part of the JIRA-migrated backlog triage (HUDI-7253). **Findings: still open.** A test-coverage task with a boilerplate-only body. Same caveat as its siblings: it predates the design that shipped in PR #13498 (`[HUDI-8401][RFC-97] Add partial update support with merge mode`, merged 2025-07-15), so the target should be `PartialUpdateMode` as delivered. One practical note on scoping: Hudi Streamer tests are the most expensive kind in this repo - `HoodieDeltaStreamerTestBase` brings up Kafka testcontainers and needs Docker - so this should be scoped deliberately rather than treated as an extension of #17244's unit-test matrix. A small number of end-to-end cases covering the streamer's schema handling for partial updates is likely worth more than breadth here.
