This issue was reviewed as part of the JIRA-migrated backlog triage (HUDI-8907). **Findings: the linked PR has not merged; keeping this open.** PR #12887 (`[HUDI-8907] Added RFC-86 draft document`) is still **open and unmerged**, so nothing has landed.
