This issue was reviewed as part of the JIRA-migrated backlog triage (HUDI-9454). **Findings: still open.** A documentation task. The file exists at `hudi-io/hfile_format.md`, but the description says only "there are details that are missed" without listing them - so there is nothing to verify or hand over. Listing the missing sections would make this workable in one sitting. Two sibling tickets under the same HFile effort suggest what might be worth documenting: #17031 (HUDI-9453, move `HoodieAvroHFileWriter` to `hudi-common`) and #17396 (HUDI-9462, revisit the serialize API in `HFileBlock`) - both concern the write path, which is the half a format doc most often under-specifies.
