This issue was reviewed as part of the JIRA-migrated backlog triage. It is
being kept open.
There are two linked PRs and neither fixes this:
- **#8076** is merged, but it is what this ticket was raised *against* - the
description links into its review thread
(`pull/8076/files#r1127283648`), asking that Overwrite mode stop deleting
`basePath`.
- **#13374** (+86/-104 across 3 files) is the PR that did target this ask,
and it is **closed without being
merged**.
No commit carries HUDI-6286.
