This issue was reviewed as part of the JIRA-migrated backlog triage (HUDI-8264). **Findings: still open.** No commit on `master` references HUDI-8264, so nothing has landed under this ticket's key. The body is boilerplate or a single line, so the title carries the whole specification - there is nothing a contributor could pick up without reconstructing the intent. The most useful addition would be a short statement of what "done" looks like; failing that, this is a candidate for closing during backlog cleanup rather than carrying indefinitely.
