This issue was reviewed as part of the JIRA-migrated backlog triage (HUDI-6760). **Findings: the linked PR has not merged; keeping this open.** PR #9554 (`[HUDI-6760] Add SelfDescribingInputFormatInterface for hive FileInput…`) is still **open and unmerged**, so nothing has landed.
