This issue was reviewed as part of the JIRA-migrated backlog triage. It is being kept open. Spark SQL MERGE INTO lost case-insensitivity after HUDI-6464; the ticket points at commented-out tests in TestMergeIntoTable2.scala. Two patches, both closed unmerged.
