voonhous opened a new pull request, #20418:
URL: https://github.com/apache/hudi/pull/20418

   ### Describe the issue this Pull Request addresses

GitHub Actions jobs on `ubuntu-latest` queue for a long time across the
`apache` org. apache/iceberg-rust#3456 reported that `ubuntu-24.04` jobs (same
image as `ubuntu-latest` today) start within minutes, and their CI finished in
about 11 minutes after the switch. This PR checks whether Hudi sees the same
effect.

   ### Summary and Changelog

Pin every `runs-on: ubuntu-latest` (43 entries, 13 workflow files) to
`ubuntu-24.04`. No other changes. No job uses a matrix `os`, so job names and
required-check names are unchanged.

   ### Impact

GitHub Actions queue time only. Azure CI is unaffected. Jobs no longer float
to the next Ubuntu image automatically; bumping the pin becomes a manual change.

   ### Risk Level

low. `ubuntu-latest` currently resolves to `ubuntu-24.04`, so the runner
image is identical.

   ### Documentation Update

   none
