Addressed the latest review pass (3e56ebcb..85dc9ee7): - Partition pruning treats `__HIVE_DEFAULT_PARTITION__` as `''` for string fields and as null otherwise, so `category = 'A'` prunes it (969dabf7). - Archival aborts when a clean or compaction plan read fails with anything but NotFound, instead of archiving without the plan (e61fccbc); a failed post-commit bookkeeping now logs a warning (85dc9ee7). - Record index instant times decode in the table's timeline zone, matching the encode side (09854ca9). - The simple index fallback picks the copy by partition path, then file id, not listing order (92b1fc29, e9b0caa3). - Log block merging lives in `FilesPartitionMerger::merge_log_groups` (82966039), and the unreachable round-trip fallback in the append schema check is gone (9eaddc3c). - COW write stats count a winning delete marker as a delete, as Java's merge handle does (315e3628). Keyed deletes stay per-partition on both table types: a key requested in a partition it isn't stored in matches nothing, and an empty partition deletes the key wherever it is stored. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
