@danny0405 this patch is Phase 4 in the [updated plan](https://github.com/apache/hudi/issues/20401#issuecomment-6485534890) (timeline-preserving truncate and full refresh, #20404), targeted for Nov 13. What's your view on its current state? Would you be able to take it over from me? Feel free to push to the branch or open a fresh PR from it, whichever is easier. Remaining items, from #20401: - failure-injection tests (failure after the Hudi commit but before the Spark checkpoint) - a decision on migrating legacy `default_single_writer` checkpoint entries - tests for truncating an empty table and truncating twice - truncate behaviour with a pending compaction or clustering - docs The branch hasn't been rebased since Oct 25, so it needs a rebase on master.
