Limess opened a new issue #3840: URL: https://github.com/apache/hudi/issues/3840
As a newcomer to the Hudi project, I'd like to suggest a rework of the long-form blog content available on Hudi. Some of the blogs are great, well written, informative, and with examples. Unfortunately there are some issues with the discoverability and cohesion with the rest of the documentation: * The blog posts aren't sufficiently discoverable. Upon visiting https://hudi.apache.org/blog/ I see two condensed lists of material - the recent blogs on the left, this looks to me like a table of contents, and offers no suggestion that there are more blogs available - the main list in the body. Each blog here takes up a lot of vertical space, and the only link to more blogs is at the footer of the list - there's no indication elsewhere on the page, and no complete index of resources * Some of the documentation is contained _only_ in blogs. Examples I've already found include the Key genarators documentation, the async compaction documentation, and the async clustering documentation. In my opinion these are all core concepts which should have a promenant position in the main documentation * Blogs don't evolve over time - this is not an immediate issue, but it's hard to gauge as a user of the project whether an older blog is out of date, whereas on the versioned docs site this is immediately obvious Thanks for all your efforts, I've noticed the recent improvements to all aspects of documentation and hope it carries on! -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
