@hubcio , I would like to work on #2892. I plan to keep the first PR small: add a reusable source-side integration test helper on top of the existing harness, wire the existing random source into it, and add short docs showing how a future source connector can plug in. I will avoid changing connector FFI or source trait semantics in the first PR.
