after looking at what native Windows support costs, the core team decided not to support Windows builds of iggy-server. this is a decision about maintenance, not about the quality of your work. nobody on the core team runs Windows. the platform branches in the storage and transport paths have no owner to test them, review them, or keep them green in CI. the gain is small: the people who need a native server binary are Windows-based contributors, and WSL2 already covers that case. the SDKs and the iggy CLI keep building natively on Windows. we are closing this issue and #4050 as not planned. we will revisit the decision only if a core maintainer starts using Windows day to day. iggy main focus are users, of which 100% should should use Linux.
