An offset store accepted before purge could wait until replacement records made its old offset valid again, then skip unhandled records. Queued deletes could also affect replacement consumer progress. Retain the owner history on queued offset mutations and reject stale requests before assigning an operation. Use terminal errors so clients do not replay the old write into the new history.
