ubuntu-latest moves from Ubuntu 24.04 to 26.04 in November 2026. Without a pin, the build and publish jobs change image with no commit in this repo. This change pins them to ubuntu-26.04, so the CI build keeps the image of the publish jobs. The checks job runs in about 20 seconds and fits the 1-vCPU ubuntu-slim runner, as in apache/iggy. ubuntu-slim has no PyYAML, so the .asf.yaml check uses the preinstalled yq instead. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
