krishvishal opened a new issue, #4524:
URL: https://github.com/apache/iggy/issues/4524

   ## Summary

DescribeLogDirs (35) is not served, and there is no `__consumer_offsets`
topic.

   Who hits it:

   - kminion collects log dirs by default, and the failure sets
`kminion_exporter_up` to 0 on every scrape. UIs show no topic sizes.
   - Burrow reads lag from `__consumer_offsets`, so it exits at startup. The
`offsetsTopic` mode of kminion reads it too.

   ## Scope

   - [ ] DescribeLogDirs v1-5 from the partition sizes in Iggy
   - [ ] On request from Burrow users: a read-only `__consumer_offsets` that
carries commits in Kafka's internal record format

   ## Acceptance criteria

   - [ ] kminion reports `kminion_exporter_up` 1, and topic sizes
   - [ ] With the second item done, Burrow starts and reports lag
