After https://github.com/apache/incubator-kie-issues/issues/1484 was implemented, a new generic API is available to interact with Human Tasks. The instructions in the README files of the human task related examples need to be updated to use the generic API. The first part of this was tackled as part of https://github.com/apache/incubator-kie-issues/issues/1849.
