@gabriel-farache what I'm not sure, is if that external X-TRACKER-ID can me made easly the OpenTelemetry `traceId `. On the other hand, imagine we know how to do it. i.e., the user e.g. creates a WF instance by passing a header X-TRACKER-ID = kogito-123456789 <- that ID, must in the end, be a sort of UUID. Ok, so instead of having the user to pass that X-TACKER-ID (with a sort of random UIID), we can explore creating an OpenTelemtry IdGenerator, that generates kogito-123456789, and all the subsequent invocation that goes through OpenTelemetry, will preserve that id. That includes every place where the invocation chain pass through. Thinking aloud... That unfortunatelly excludes things like a "process is waked up" by an event produced by an external system 😠, or by when its waked up by a jobs service timer 😠-- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
