docs(readme): remove underlines between badges (#5283)
Fix the visual inconsistency caused by unintended underlines between badges
in the README.
The underlines were appearing due to whitespace text nodes within anchor
tags wrapping the badges, which triggered the default `text-decoration:
underline` style for links.
