   ## What

Adds a blog post for the Apache Mahout hackathon at Community over Code
Glasgow 2026 (Tuesday 13 October, 15:00–18:40, The Wee Dram Room), so
participants can get everything from one page on mahout.apache.org:

   - **Colab notebook**: "Open in Colab" button plus a direct `.ipynb`
download, and the runtime setup steps (2026.07 / Python 3.12 / T4 GPU) that the
install depends on.
   - **Kickoff slides** (*Quantum computing in Python with Qumat and QDP*,
Andrew Musselman and Krishna Dave): all 13 slides embedded as images in the
post, plus PDF and PPTX downloads.
   - **Task list**: Track A (Qumat, Python) and Track B (QDP, Python and Rust)
tables with issue links, setup commands, PR workflow, and how to get help
(Slack `#hackathon`, dev@).

   ## Files

   - `docs/blog/2026-10-13-Community-Over-Code-Hackathon/` — the post
(`index.md`) and the 13 slide images (~1.3 MB). Blog source lives in
`docs/blog`; `website/blog` is the synced build artifact.
   - `website/static/hackathon/` — participant downloads, served at
`/hackathon/...`: `mahout_hackathon_colab.ipynb`, `mahout-hackathon-deck.pptx`,
`mahout-hackathon-deck.pdf`, `mahout-hackathon-tasks.md` (~2 MB).

   ## Notes

   - The "Open in Colab" link points at the notebook on `main`
(`website/static/hackathon/mahout_hackathon_colab.ipynb`), so it only works
after this PR is merged. Until then the post explains the fallback: download
the `.ipynb` and use **File > Upload notebook** in Colab.
   - The post date is 2026-10-13 and the hackathon is that afternoon, so a
quick review and merge would be appreciated.
   - Verified with `npm run build`: the post renders at
`/blog/2026/10/13/Community-Over-Code-Hackathon`, all 13 images are bundled,
and the download links resolve with no broken-link warnings.
