Adopting it here sets one baseline for every contributor who uses Claude Code: a fixed set of plugins, plus one policy for the trailer that marks AI-assisted commits. Recent history mixes `Co-authored-by: Copilot`, `Co-Authored-By: Claude` and `Generated-by:`. The floor is deliberately small. It has only the setup and utility skills and the agent guard, so contributors don't load skills that only maintainers need. Maintainers can still install `pr-management` or `release-management` for themselves. ### How - `.apache-magpie.lock` records the project floor: `magpie-setup`, `magpie-utilities` and `magpie-agent-guard`, at version 0.9.0.dev202610111534 or later. The floor is a minimum, not a pin. - `.claude/settings.json` is new. It contains only `extraKnownMarketplaces` (`apache/magpie`, with no version tag) and `enabledPlugins`, both derived from the lock. Claude Code users get the plugins enabled once they trust the repo, with no install step. - `.apache-magpie-overrides/` holds the project's configuration: - `project.md`: identity, repositories and mailing lists, taken from `.asf.yaml` and the GitHub metadata. The security and release sections are still `TODO` and are only needed if those plugin families are adopted later. - `commit-attribution.toml`: sets AI-assisted commits to use the ASF `Generated-by: <agent> (<model>)` trailer. - `.gitignore` ignores `/.apache-magpie-local/`, which is where each contributor's personal configuration goes. None of this affects people who don't use Claude Code, the build or CI. It can be reverted with `/magpie-setup:setup unadopt`. Things to check: - `users_list` is set to `[email protected]`, singular. - This PR makes `Generated-by` Mahout's policy for AI trailers.
