400Ping opened a new pull request, #1529:
URL: https://github.com/apache/mahout/pull/1529
## Why
#1517 added a `main` ruleset with PMC bypass actors to `.asf.yaml`, but
asfyaml could not create it. From the Infra mail on commits@
("mahout.git: Error while running github feature from main:.asf.yaml"):
Validation failed while creating ruleset 'main': Invalid request.
Invalid property /rules/4: data matches no possible input.
Rule 4 is `required_status_checks`. asfyaml only coerces a known set of raw
payload keys to integers (`actor_id`, `required_approving_review_count`,
...);
`integration_id` is not in that set, so GitHub received `"15368"` as a string
and rejected the rule. Posting the same payload with a string
`integration_id`
to the Rulesets API reproduces the error exactly; the payload without
`integration_id` is accepted.
Because the ruleset was never created, the classic `protected_branches` block
still applies, every PR now needs both `Committer approval` and
`Auto-merge gate` to run, and PMC members have no bypass. With the ASF runner
queue stuck this blocks every merge.
## What
- `.asf.yaml`: drop `integration_id` from the ruleset's required checks (any
source) and remove the classic `protected_branches` block, so that the
ruleset is the only protection on `main` and the PMC bypass becomes
effective. Comments explain the asfyaml limitation. Bypass actors are
written one per line.
