URL: https://github.com/apache/incubator-mxnet/issues/9909#issuecomment-369334287 To get a ImageRecordIter.next() value that is not deterministically based on the original seed, you would have to replace the ImageRecordIter with a new one created with a new random seed. If the documentation says otherwise, that should be corrected.
