BrianHanechak opened a new issue #12628: Version 1.3.0 doesn't work for me on Windows (cu92); 1.3.0b20180915 works fine URL: https://github.com/apache/incubator-mxnet/issues/12628 ## Description When I install version 1.3.0, the Python process exits whenever I do any GPU operation. 1.3.0b20180915 works fine, however. ## Environment info (Required) ----------Python Info---------- Version : 3.6.3 Compiler : MSC v.1900 64 bit (AMD64) Build : ('v3.6.3:2c5fed8', 'Oct 3 2017 18:11:49') Arch : ('64bit', 'WindowsPE') ------------Pip Info----------- Version : 18.0 Directory : C:\Users\brianh\AppData\Local\Programs\Python\Python36\lib\site-packages\pip ----------MXNet Info----------- Version : 1.3.0 Directory : C:\Users\brianh\AppData\Local\Programs\Python\Python36\lib\site-packages\mxnet Hashtag not found. Package used (Python/R/Scala/Julia): Python ## Build info (Required if built from source) I did not build this from the source. I installed it from pip, using the mxnet-cu92 version. ## Error Message: There isn't an error message; the process just seems to exit ## Minimum reproducible example import mxnet as mx ctx = mx.gpu(0) zeros = mx.nd.zeros((5, 5), ctx) At this point, there's a pause, and then the Python process ends ## Steps to reproduce (Paste the commands you ran that produced the error.) 1. From the command line, start a python process 2. Type in the lines under "minimum reproducible example" ## What have you tried to solve it? 1. I've tried downgrading my version of MxNet. Versions from 1.3.0b20180915 and back work fine, but 1.3.0 and the newest betas don't work. 2. I tried upgrading to Python 3.7 and that didn't help. 3. Downgrading to 1.3.0b20180915 does work (in both Python 3.6.3 and Python 3.7)
